My condolences to the bereaved family of Dr. Henry Funtecha. He joined his Creator last 14 October.

I will miss reading his Bridging the Gap columns in The News Today.

REPOST:
=====

For CPU and UP Visayas students/alumni:

Dear Everyone,

It is with heavy heart that I relay to your the passing way of Dr. Henry F. Funtecha, a very dear colleague, a respected mentor and a beloved friend, at dawn today due to dissective aneurysm. His remains will lie in state in St. Therese Memorial Chapel tonight and will be brought to UPV Auditorium at the City Campus tomorrow, October 16, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. His remains will lie there overnight. The following morning he will be brought to his church in Central Philippine University.

We enjoin all you to be with us, the faculty and staff of the Division of Social Sciences, in paying our last respects to Sir Henry.

To many of us, I'm sure that in one way or another, directly or indirectly, he was able to touch our lives as members of the UPV community. We are all saddened and shocked by the fact that he was taken so suddenly and so soon.

Hoping to see you all,

Jorge S. Ebay

he was my teacher in PI 100.

in my time, he was one of the teachers in miag-ao who truly made sense in what he was teaching.
